Got a Honey-Do List? One Rockford Handyman Can Tackle It in a Single Visit
Yes, one company in Rockford can handle your whole list. Giddens Property Service is a family-owned, multi-trade handyman company whose crew covers drywall, painting, carpentry, minor plumbing, electrical, flooring, doors and more, so most mixed repair lists can be finished in one service call instead of four separate appointments.
Why one company beats several contractors
Most homes don't have one big problem. They have a dozen small ones: a dented wall, a dripping faucet, a dead outlet, a sticking door. Hiring a separate specialist for each one means:
Multiple phone calls, quotes and schedules to juggle
Several trip charges and minimum fees
Days off work waiting for different crews
Nobody owning the whole job when one fix affects another
We built Giddens Property Service to be the 815 one-stop shop. One call, one written estimate, one crew and one invoice.
Repairs we can handle in one visit
Here are the kinds of jobs Rockford homeowners commonly bundle together:
Walls and ceilings: drywall patches, holes, cracks, ceiling texture, interior painting
Plumbing: leaky faucets, running toilets, garbage disposal repair or installation
Electrical: outlet and switch replacement, light fixtures, ceiling fans, minor electrical alterations
Doors, windows and trim: sticking doors, new hardware, trim and baseboard repair, window and door installation
Floors and tile: laminate repair, tile and backsplash fixes, wall tile
Kitchen and bath: cabinet adjustments, countertop installation, caulking, fixture swaps
Exterior: deck boards and railings, siding repair, foundation crack repair
Install jobs: appliance installation, shelving, TV mounts, cabinets
If the list grows into something bigger, like a bathroom or kitchen remodel, we handle that too.

Honest about what's worth fixing
When we look at your list, we'll tell you if something doesn't need fixing yet, or if a cheap patch would just fail again. One customer said this advice saved him more than $1,000. If we uncover a hidden problem while working, we stop and explain it before doing anything extra.

Frequently asked questions
Can one handyman really do plumbing, electrical and drywall in the same visit?
For most everyday repairs, yes. Our crew works across trades, so small plumbing, electrical and drywall jobs can be done in one trip. Larger electrical work is handled as part of remodels and commercial projects.
How long will my list take?
It depends on the list. Your free written estimate includes a timeline so you know what to expect.
Is there a minimum job size?
No job is too small to call about. Bundling several small repairs into one visit is usually the most cost-effective approach.
Do you work on rental and commercial properties?
Yes. We provide maintenance and repair for homes, rentals, offices and commercial properties.
